When you start a New Game, you will arrive at Crusader's Landing after a short boat ride. Note: There are NO achievements for reaching the DLC area - Moonlight's End - nor for defeating the three DLC bosses - Zylad, The Rejected Daughter, and The Rotting Crown. These achievements pertain to progressing through and completing the main campaign.
